About Hey Pups LA
Shawn's Mission
Operated by Shawn Nee, founder of Burgers Never Say Die, Hey Pups LA, is based on the belief that every dog deserves the highest level of individualized care and attention. Whether on a walk, pet-sitting, or staying at our home in Cypress Park, our goal is to provide a safe and fun experience for your pups.
After 10 years of operating BNSD, Shawn sold his burger shop in March 2025, and now focuses on caring for dogs.
Family Operated
Every dog needs a pack, and two major parts of the Hey Pups LA pack are my 10-year-old son, Wilkes, and partner, Julie. Together, we keep the water bowls full and your pups happy. And even though Wilkes refuses to pick up poop, the pack still loves him.
Services Offered
We offer a range of services, including daily walks, in-home pet sitting, boarding, and basic training. We can customize our services to meet the needs of your pets and your schedule.

Meet Benson
Who is the handsome looking dog in many of our photos?
That's Benson, our 4-year-old, Rhodesian Ridgeback. He is what they call a velcro-dog. Where we go....he goes...and despite his 100lb frame, he believes he is a lap dog. Many laps have been crushed by him. As you can see from his photos, he pretty much trains upper-body every day, but is notorious for skipping leg day.
Big or small, Benson loves hosting new friends.
If your pup plans to stay with us, we will meet up prior to their visit to determine compatibility.
